Some people come to learn to meditate because they've gotten a wake-up call: perhaps they've received a diagnosis, or are in a job transition, or have lost a loved one, or are going through some other transition in their life.
Others are looking for relief from feeling overwhelmed, or a break from the constant companion of anxiety or depression.  Some people want to learn to meditate to explore their spirituality.  And then there are those who are simply curious!  
Let's face it; most of us are over-stimulated and over-scheduled - mentally, emotionally, and physically. Stress is very often due to our out-of-balance lifestyles and those not-so-nourishing choices we habitually make, and stress can cause many other problems. Over 80% of all doctors' visits are due to stress-related complaints such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, allergies, confusion, and lethargy.
Meditation has been called the perfect antidote for stress - it's like a reset button for your mind and body and helps you to reduce stress and regain the balance that you love.

The mainstay of the program is breath awareness and silent sound meditation, both which direct your attention inward and help you to reconnect with your center point of peace.   
 

POWER OF THE PAUSE- MEDITATION FUNDAMENTALS 101


Let's practice together in this 3 week course. This class will be a guide to the path and practice of meditation. No experience needed. What is Meditation and how do I start a home practice?
We will cover this and so much more in our 3 weeks together.

COST: $165 covers classes, materials and audio downloads.
(If you are a graduate of the SEED program this course is half off. It will be a good refresher and has some new content.)

Marsha Nieland, E-RYT certified yoga and meditation teacher and the owner of Fusion Yoga Studio in Cedar Rapids , Ia.   She can relate to the beginner who finds the practice of meditation challenging or intimidating or the seasoned meditator who wants to take their practice to a deeper level.  Marsha can show you how to meditate in the most simplistic way.  She is patient, supportive, encouraging, and inspiring. marsha  
Marsha graduated from the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona,Az. Her teacher, Sarah McLean has worked with some of the greats in the world of self-awareness. www.McLeanmeditationinstitute.com Marsha is currently on the path to being certified in Primordial Sound Meditation with Deepak Chopra.
