Fusion Studio Immersion & Teacher Training

2019 Dates TBA
Marsha Nieland and Betsy Rippentrop

This unique 2-part training is not just for teachers, but for anyone wishing to deepen their connection to yoga and spirituality, find their voice and renew their practice. The intention of the program is that students deepen their spiritual path through self-exploration, and through building a strong foundation for teaching yoga in a soulful, creative, and integrative way. We will explore the connections between yoga, anatomy, psychology, mythology, philosophy, and the world’s spiritual traditions with a strong emphasis on tantric philosophy and Hatha and Anusara yoga systems.

Part I -Yoga Immersion is designed for all students wanting to go deep into understanding themselves better and how their yoga practice can support this. This foundational 4 weekend series will help you develop a self practice, establish daily rhythms according to Ayurvedic wisdom, and increase self-awareness and growth as you begin to understand yourself and the world in a new way. Study of yoga philosophy, yoga history, the chakras, meditation, pranayama, asana, and self care will be covered. You can just take Part I, especially if you have no desire to teach yoga.

Part II-The Art of Teaching is designed for those who have completed Part I and want to find their voice as a yoga teacher. Part II builds on the strong foundation of yoga knowledge from Part I, and adds techniques for teaching, assisting, theming, effective language choice, therapeutics, and working with specific populations. Part I and II are certified through Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour teacher training program. Admittance to Part I and Part II both require separate applications.
